New Contest is Live…
Alright here we go again! A new Planet tutorial contest is now live! We had so many entries on the last contest that it only made sense to keep it going. We have selected three new tutorials for you to view and create an original piece of art work. Remember you can use one, a combination of two or even all three techniques in your piece . The piece must reflect some technique used in at least one of the selected tutorials. So go crazy and have fun. Oh, the deadline is February 18th so hurry!! The grand prize this time around is a full one year membership to the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and the Creative Suite 4 Integration dvd by Dave Cross. This is the first time entering the Planet Tutorial Contest and I’ve already sent mine in! So excited.
What are the limitations on original piece of work requirement? I mean wouldn’t it be original if we were to use popular pieces of work and use it in a innovative manner- place it in and use it in a manner that it was never meant to be in? I’ve learned that’s how you really make your work stand out- as long as you give credit to your sources. Besides I sincerely doubt I would be the first to use super-Nintendo characters i.e. Mario, pac-man, etc (The Retro text tutorial gave me the idea of popular 60’s games; that and the comic book effect).
Is there any way to confirm that one’s entry was received after being submitted??? There is always an “error on page” at he bottom,…not sure if the submission got thru,…..just curious,…..;-)
